There was a "Artist TBA" leading off the musical lineup on the 1st weekend. That leaves me to believe there is another big name yet to be announced. Did you get that impression?

Yes I did. I purposely left it out of my post. The first weekend needs a bigger name IMO.

I'm so looking forward to laying on a blanket in the grass, taking in some sun and an herbal iced tea and listening to some great music with friends. I love Jazz Fest!!!

Well, perhaps the Fairground infield may have dried out by the time Jazz Fest rolls around for you to do just such!
I'm feeling water-logged! This is starting to make Minot's weather look appealing!

#7 throw away to do list.

i hate jazz fest.....these acts as a whole, suck. what is the appeal of widespread panic? just awful. steel pulse and dead weather worth seeing. elvin bishop is a good picker. ...lionel ritchie? seriously? half of this lineup is comming straight off the podunk casino circut.

Pearl Jam's first appearance in New Orleans since Eddie Vedder and Black Jack McDowell kicked some ass at Funky Butt will be enough to get me out for one day at least.

I wish (as I almost always do) that there were ca couple more reggae acts, but it looks like a pretty good lineup. Steel Pulse is awesome. Levon Helm, Old Crowe, Steve Martin, King Sunny Ade, Dead Weather, Averaage White Band and freakin' Gil Scott Herron (I love him).

That is precisely the reason that I refuse to listen to Eddie Vedder.... I flip the station. You think Sydney is a d-bag??? Eddie and his arsehole friend are the personification of SCUMBAGS...... eff 'em both. :whip:

I'll be there...I LOVE Van Morrison! If you've never seen Susan Tedeschi...you really need to. She puts on a great show. We saw her with Willie Nelson many years ago. A class act.
