our fearless District Attorney is trying a case himself in Section H at Tulane and Broad and it is beyond hilarious. Joe Pesci's character in My Cousin Vinny could show him a few tricks or so. He couldn't phrase a non-leading question to a witness, an objection sustained 3 times in a row. His No. 2 is whispering questions in his ear and he has already lost the jury which is only going to be worse as this monstrosity drags on. It is rumored that the trial may go into next weekend, which will mean an OJ style not guilty after about 15 minutes of deliberations. I have watched moot court teams perform better.

Manage the office, Leon. The court room is too dangerous to be left to amateurs.

The public defender is a low key guy and it is playing really well when contrasted against Cannizzaro's in your face approach.

Still happy you voted for him over Capitelli? I'm ambivalent at best.

With the info I had at the time, I thought Cannizarro was the better candidate. I was very wrong about this. He is nothing more than a bully with a Napoleon complex who manages by fear. Way to motivate professional employees.

He is doing one thing right. They are going to trial more. But they are losing at an astonishing rate.

Judge Buras is presiding.

It looks like Leon has waved the white flag as today he was pretty much letting his No. 2 handle everything. I am definitely going to watch closing arguments, next week.

Everyone seems to think this is going to be a NG.

Just out of curiosity, do you think the defendant's guilty and Capitelli simply bungled the case?

He got a guilty. Amazing. The defense rested on reasonable doubt. You absolutely have to put on a case, if you are defending someone at trial.

Apparently Cannizzaro's closing argument made an impact and the victims family was very thankful towards to him. He delivered....
