Our dinner at Martinique was awesome. JAG looks hot as hell. We are having a blast. She'll post about dessert in the morning.

The dinner at Martinique Bistro was absolutely perfect. I just adore that place.

Dessert was a bread pudding with blueberries and a whiskey sauce. I like bread pudding so I though it was pretty good though I could have gone for something lighter after the perfect seafood dinner I'd just consumed all while being told I looked amazing. A girl can't possibly hear that too often.


....so here is where someone says, 'the sorbets there are fantastic'....and I agree they are, but the flavors last night didnt really flip my skirt so I went with the dessert special and was content.

Have I mentioned how much I love dessert? And how special my birthday is...

The softshell crab app is the best thing on the menu right now. It came with a remoulade that had a very tangy mustard taste to it. Service was good, somewhat unobtrusive. They did a nice thing. Our 1st bottle was a Montrachet which we slowly consumed. When we ordered a second bottle, we were told that we finished their last of the Montrachet and did we want something else. So, I ordered the Merasault which was considerably more expensive but they charged us the price of the Montrachet.

They were also surprisingly amenable to me rolling in a giant bday cake and jumping out of it wearing a purple speedo while gyrating over JAG to a ghetto ass version of Happy Birthday. Who knew?
