Dan Esses Tapas at Clever

I hung out after court tonight at Clever. Jon has Dan Esses come in every Tuesday and do tapas. Everything is priced ridiculously low at 5 bucks. There are about six items to choose from. I am too drunk to remember everything. I had the shrimp, crab and corn dumplings and a mini BLT on brioche. Both were excellent. I washed it down with about six caprianas which were excellent. Highly recommended for a light meal on a hot day.

Thanks for the report Bam. I have been to Clever to drink a few times and I agree that even the drink prices seem to be very reasonable. It was fun talking with the bartenders about the various drinks and watching them make them.

I like Clever a lot, especially when it's not Happy Hour. It turns out Jon Smith is a big cocktail geek in addition to being a wine geek. He made a bacon infused Old Fashioned a few weeks ago that was, uh, interesting.
