It is a beautiful day here in Arkansas; I have yard work to do and wanted something to listen to. My first pick was Donald Fagan's "Kamakiriad". As soon as "Trans-Island Skyway" starts to play - I always find myself in a better mood. What song has this effect on you?
Hope you all are having a great weekend...

"Hot Fun in the Summertime". Sly and the Family Stone.
I've got a smile on my face just typing this.... :toast:

Fagan was half of Steely Dan, yes?
When I was in high school, I was crazy about their album, AJA (???? or was it "Asia"????) Loved it, anyway. :)

Donald Fagen, yes, and Walter Becker would be considered the two "halves" of Steely Dan. Jeff 'Skunk' Baxter (later of Doobie Brothers) was an original member. But there were tons of people on their album sessions, "Aja" included, like Rick Derringer, Larry Carlton, Jeff Porcaro (Toto), Michael McDonald.

I have a few! First...Into the Mystic - Van Morrison, Come Monday - Jimmy Buffett, Kansas City- Willie Nelson & Susan Tedeschi's version, Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison.
These songs make me want to kick off my shoes and dance barefoot!

I put "Get Down Tonight" on here at the Salon/Boutique to liven things up.
Bee Gees Stayin' Alive works too.

When I wash my car, I always listen to Jimmy Buffett's "Songs You Know by Heart" - love to turn the volume up when Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw comes on - drives the neighbors crazy.....
