LOL yep, that's it. I don't care what they call him..just as long as he is HISTORY.

I'm excited..can ya tell? Yep, I bleed blue for my Kentucky Wildcats. It's time we came back to the SEC and showed everyone who is boss. I'm tired of this losing crap. I miss the good ole days.

and yes, I know...I'm in LSU territory and I respect that. But damnit.....lol

My dad was a Kentucky fan when I was a kid. He used to drag me out to the game when Kentucky played at LSU and he used to love seeing Kentucky win. I want to say it was around 85 or 86 or so when Kentucky was really good and I waited around after the games and got some of the autographs. I think I had Rex Chapman, Kenny Walker, and some big red headed guy I liked watching at the time.
They were def. fun to watch back then.

My dad was the same way. In 1978, he took my best friend and I with him to the championship game in St Louis. We got to see Kentucky whip Duke's ass. Joe B Hall was still coach. He was the national coach of the year and SEC coach of the year that year.

My dad's best friend was a big UK alumni supporter and we had tickets for the parties afterwards. I came home with everyone's autograph..Joe B, Goose Givens..Kyle Macy...fun times!!

My dad actually ended up in the emergency room after the Kentucky - Duke game in 1992 when Christian Laettner kicked our ass in the last second of an overtime play. Dad spent the night in the hospital with chest pains! He's been gone for a few years now and this time of year is kind of bittersweet for me. I can't help but think of him when I hear our fight song. Great memories.

Bring on the new coach!

I was at the Duke-UK game in 92 in Philly. Best spring break ever. I loved mocking the UK idiots leaving the Spectrum that day.

Your program is in utter disarray and this coaching search is going to be an Alabama-esque clusterf-ck. Already, Donovan and Sean Miller have said thanks but no thanks. Thad Matta will also say no. Travis Ford is your best shot and he may be more unprepared than Gillespie.

I guess you kind of enjoyed laughing at the UK idiots about as much as I enjoyed laughing at the LSU idiots last year when my poor little pitiful Kentucky Wildcats kicked your big bad LSU tigers ass in football.

I went to Tulane where we focus on academics the way UK grads focus on inbreeding. Lotsa good that football win over LSU did you guys. The Tigers won a national title. UK went to its 15th Music City Bowl where you barely beat a Florida St team that suspended half its team. Ask anyone at LSU whether losing to Kentucky had any effect on their season.

I'll post again after Calipari turns you guys down.

I hear you!

I still pull for my alma mater UNC although I live here now. I kept my home in Chapel Hill just in case.... :)
I will say that LSU has always had football over UNC and can't brag much there. We have been a good baskeball dynasty though. I am the same with my Carolina Panthers. I will pull for the local teams here though unless they are playing mine.:)

Grins..I probably shouldn't be telling this...I moved from Kentucky 5 years ago...I still have a home in Kentucky....but, I still have my Kentucky drivers license..and Kentucky tags on my car. I was just sitting here doing my car registration online. Doug tells my mom that I still haven't made my mind up if I'm staying with him or not..LOL

I'm kind of partial to my Kentucky alumni license plate.

Ok, I was being respectful to LSU before you came along and got me going..but, I was just thinking about your comment on inbreeding. Do we really want to start comparing cajuns vs hillbillies??? I haven't seen much of a difference.
