Alright gang, I am taking the wife to Stella next Friday night and I was looking for some thoughts on what chef Boswell does well and not so well.

Obviously I have heard nothing but good about the place and other than a concern that the staff might come off as snobs, I am really looking forward to a great meal. My wife has had a medical situation for quite some time that is finally starting to clear up, so I need this night to be fantastic.

Thanks

Of all the dishes we ate at Stella (there were 4 of us so I got to try a lot) my popcorn encrusted fish was my least favorite. It wasn't bad but I would have ordered justagirl's fish. I forget now what it was called. Maybe she will post. The chili prawns, risotto, salads, scallops, veal and fish were all fantastic. No snobbiness anywhere either. They sent out a little tray of homemade marshmallows that was delicious.

My dish was definitely of the Asian influence. It had green tea and soba noodles, in a small pool of broth. I can't remember the kind of fish, but it was really good. I'm thinking sea bass...but I may be wrong.

BTG, just go and have a great time. You wont find anything bad on the menu. The truffles are great, but be prepared, they aren't free...or cheap...but they are wonderful.

If yall want to me tag along and offer advise I can be hired for cheap. LOL
