Any news about Laurentino's on Dublin Street in the Riverbend? I pass by there frequently and it seems that work is in progress. What was the name of the space a few years back?

Cafe Volage.
Wish I knew more about an opening date. Seems it was Sept. 07 when he said it was going to be a few months.

Will that be a second restaurant or are they moving from Metairie?

Last time we were in there (Metairie), it was to be a second location. He showed us his blue prints for the new place. Looks nice, he is changing the interrior big time.
Great food, first location. I was under the understanding he wanted the second location to be more tapas and bar.

Fantastic! I like Rio Mar but this location will be easier for me.

he was working with one of the taco truck folks to learn more about their way of doing tacos, etc.
the theme of the new place was explained as tacos and tapas.

My mom tried to go to the metairie location about 2 weeks ago and it was closed with a sign stating they were closed for a medical emergency.
Hope all is well.
