We love vBulletin. Major forums we've visited use it, and its feature set is very rich. Here's a for-instance:

Amarone, if he makes it over here, posts a thread about some great value wine he's tried. When he does, he adds what are called "tags" in the original post, like "Amarone,recommends" or "wine,recs". Then, any thread so tagged with the same words will have links at the bottom of it to all other threads with the same tags. Cool, huh?
