What food item would you like to like to find all wrapped up with your name on it? Food, utensil, gadget...keep it real.
Personally, I'd love some home-made pralines. A guy can dream, huh? :D

A 6-pack of coffee that I ordered today...thanks for the email Bob.
I got a bunch of kitchen related stuff this year. A Kyocera ceramic knife and slicer. From Pampered Chef a large pizza stone, a stone for the toaster oven, a skimmer and a new cranberry lazagna pan.
And I have a box coming from Stonewall Kitchen..not sure what's in there.

From Pampered Chef a large pizza stone, new cranberry lazagna pan.
I love my Pampered Chef pizza stone and I have "requested the new cranberry colored wavy lazagna pan" I think my mother ordered it for me.
I still want a warming drawer, which was okayed by my husband, just can't find time to call the guy out to take measurements.
Other then that, I think I'm good on the food/gadget department.

Can anyone give me a name of someone to order Pampered Chef from?

I had a dream last night that someone gave me for Christmas a massive assortment of cheeses from Whole Foods. In the dream all of the cheeses were whole wheels. While that would be a bit much, it would be a cool gift to get so I told the wife about my dream and how much I enjoyed it :)
What does that say about me that I dream of cheese?

Hey Dawlin!
I'm having a catalog party right now, order by tomorrow afternoon & you'll get it for Christmas!
If you don't need it by Christmas, I'm having another catalog party so you can still place an order.
I'm doing these specifically for my Pampered Chef lady who is raising funds for a class she wants to take from me. So I'd appreciate it if you would consider ordering from her.
Anyone else who would like to order, just PM me & I'll send the link to the catalog sale. Your order can be shipped directly as a gift if you like.
Thanks!

Bob! This morning I was thinking about making home made pralines for my BiL's Christmas gift. He loves them. He might be getting Loretta's tho, with my schedule. If I actually do make some I'll let you know & will save some for you.

Yvette, did you know that it was you that first turned me on to the glories of owning a pizza stone? You've ruined me for life & now I'm a "Stone" junkie!
I absolutely love that stuff & it really did work exactly as you said, even making fried chicken crispy again. I don't know if I ever thanked you for that one tip, but it's really had a huge influence on my cooking (and MFDC's too). We both really thank you!
For me . . . I'd love a lifetime membership in the cheese of the month club (if such a thing exists). I think I have you beat, Jesse!
I'm going to take a shot at your dream . . . It feel it says you would like to have some really good "me" time . . . some really good creature comforts right now. ;)
The other kitchen related gift I'd like is a complete kitchen makeover.
But I'd settle for a really great fridge.
Wow, 2 doz duck legs seems so puny compared to what I want!

I made two batches of pralines last night. I would have been making these for years if I had realized how easy they are! I used a recipe out of the Picayune. I'm not one to brag on my cooking...but I do think these are the best I've ever tasted. That could be because they're so fresh...but they really turned out great.

I do remember, many moons ago.
I just used mine yesterday to reheat some rosemary, cheese, sweet corn bread I made the day before. Man it was good.

I'm with you! I did manage to have a wine and cheese shop do a cheese of the month certificate for me to give as a gift. I basically paid an amount for the entire year, then the shop divided that amount by 12 and picked out cheeses from their offerings each month for the recipient to pick up. I did this for several years and never understood why they didn't market it.

I used mine today to heat up yuca, directly on the stone. Nice & crispy. Mmmm. Ok, that cornbread sounds divine. Did you just throw in some rosemary & cheese or is there a method to the madness?

EC, I often find myself agreeing with your taste!
That is absolutely a great gift!
My guess is they didn't market it because they thought it would be too time consuming to do & maybe felt their staff would not want to do this & the owner or mgr would get stuck doing it. I personally think it would be an excellent idea. Maybe Jon at Cork & Barrel will read this & run with the idea!

Can't touch that! Nope. Would be a cheesy attempt at cheap humor.
Actually, I think it reflects on desires...good eats!
Now I'm trying to think of my last food dream. This may be a really good topic for a post! :toast:

Would you consider posting the recipe? I need a new one, the old one's not going to work for me this year. Long story, I'll spare you.

Isa, may I suggest that you start a Praline recipe thread? I'll even participate since I decided not to wait for a gift that may never come, and made my first batch last night.
This thread is about wishful thinking, not recipes.
Thanks.

If I can't have a new kitchen, I'd love gift certificates to my favorite local restaurants...not that it would have to be enough to cover the whole meal but a reasonable chunk that I could apply toward a nice bottle of wine that I might not order otherwise.
Or WINE.Oregon Pinot Noir...Domaine Serene, Archery Summit, Ponzi, Argyle.-I'm being so specific in case Santa reads this! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_15_1.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYMNUS)
(sorry Bob, I know you said "food" item but what's food without wine?;))

Thats one of the few things I miss about living in Oregon, always having unlimited access to all of their great Pinot's.

Technically you should not put this under tree, its supposed to be kept refrigerated or frozen, but a large box of dark chocolate Enstrom's Toffee. I bought some this year for friends and included an extra box for me, which was opened last night.
If you have never tried it, its a high quality version of a heath bar, dipped in crushed almonds. For more info, go to: www.enstrom.com

know it all too well...sadly the box I got last year was only good for one serving, one rather LARGE serving. this and almond roca are not my friends, as they do not hang around long.

It's not food, but it's related...
I'd dearly love to have sustainable glass counter-tops... under-lit. Sigh..... (saw them on HGTV and have been coveting them since...)

Well, I don't celebrate C-mas but I'm often forced to participate somewhat. As payment for my suffering, I believe I have some Riedel glasses and some copper pans from Williams Sonoma. I've beat the $#@% out of my pizza stone, so I should have probably asked for another one of those, but I really wasn't paying attention.
