Will you be getting a tree this year? Will you go artificial or will only the real thing do? Or will you just save your money, sleep in and not bother? At our place, there is one vote for artificial and two for real.

Gave up "real" last year and bought (reusable) artificial last Christmas at Home Depot. The needles don't drop off (so far). The lights are already attached.

I was very allergic to the real trees when I was a kid. So, we have an artificial tree. But, this coming weekend....Doug has a truck...so we're going with Ladywhowaits to pick out her real tree...we shall see if I'm still allergic or not. If I break out in hives and have problems breathing...she can buy the benedryl.:p
Real thing, no other way. Got mine last night

Very nice tree Schuarta, wow, your house is so tidy.
Not that you asked;) my Christmas history but going back to the year my son was born, 1998, I have had
9 green frasier firs only from Perino's on Veterans 1 was flocked.
2 years I used my grandparents aluminum tree with a color wheel.
Last year after Christmas I bought an artificial all white tree. I always wanted all blue lights, so I have them now, and will use that this year. I hope to put the train set around the tree Santa brought my son LAST Christmas:o
The 2 Christmas (times) we were in a non fema (EVEN SMALLER) rv after the hurricane, the tree was too big, so I kept it outside and bought outdoor lights, cords and shatterproof ornaments because my son wanted it, if it were just me, I wouldn;t have done it.

Hey, Schuarta, is that a throw or a fur coat on the chair? I agree with Suzy, your pictures always are neat and tidy.

I was waiting for someone to "twig" on that! Wife's Christmas present coat, from three daughters, circa 1975, before such gifts became politically incorect. Purchased while we were living in Canada.

Hey....my elderly Aunt said it took 30 years of hard work for her husband to afford her mink and she was damn sure gonna wear it....correct or not. LOL.

We really wanted a 11-12 footer like we usually get, but couldn't find one at local tree farms, so settled for a 9-footer which will have to do. It looks pretty good. The farm we used near Bush was opened for the first time since Katrina so they didn't have anything massive. We like to keep ours up until 12th Night so a local tree has better longevity than an import.
